Srinagar, May 05 (GNS): In a decisive breakthrough, Srinagar Police have arrested all four individuals allegedly involved in a heinous sexual assault incident that occurred near Water Works Road in the Nishat area.

According to an official statement shared with GNS, police swung into action immediately after receiving information about the assault on a woman, who had suffered critical injuries. Despite efforts to save her, she was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital.

An FIR bearing number 35/2025 was promptly filed at Police Station Nishat, triggering a full-scale investigation.

Within hours, investigators managed to identify and apprehend the four accused:

Suhail Bashir Bhat, son of Bashir Ahmad, resident of Asham Sumbal

Adil Ali Bhat, son of Ali Mohammad, resident of Zeethyar Nishat

Firdous Ahmad Rather, son of Ghulam Ahmad, resident of Zeethyar Nishat

Suhail Afzal Bhat, son of Mohammad Afzal, resident of Pahloo Brein

Police described the arrests as part of a "swift and focused operation," adding that further investigation into the case is ongoing.
