Two Shifted to GMC Jammu in Critical Condition

Rajouri, May 4 (JKNS): At least 20 people were injured when a wall collapsed during a wedding ceremony in the Dhanidhar area of Rajouri district on Sunday evening, officials said.

According to authorities, the mishap occurred when a portion of the venue’s wall suddenly gave way, causing panic among the attendees. The injured include women, children, and elderly individuals.

Two of the victims sustained critical injuries and were shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu for specialized treatment.

The injured have been identified as:

Saima Akther, Sartal Begum, Ayan, Serish Kousar, Zera Hayat Khan, Tazeem Akther, Shabeen Akther, Jameelo Akhtar, Morad Zubair, Momtaz Begum, Mariyam Akhtar, Mumtaz Begum, Mumeza Akhtar, Anaya Kouser, Mariya Kousher, Qadeer Hussain, Araram Amin, Mamtaz Begum, Yasmeen Akthar, and Rehan Khan.

Local police have registered a case and begun an investigation into the cause of the collapse.
